SAFETY POLICY
Portabagagli del Porto di Venezia Soc. Coop. aims to make organisational, instrumental and economic resources available, with a view to improving workers’ health and safety in the workplace and, in order to achieve these goals, undertakes to enable an on-site Safety and Health Management System as an integral part of its work organisation.
Furthermore, Portabagagli del Porto di Venezia Soc. Coop. is committed to tackling safety issues as major business aspects throughout its existing activities and future planning, and to organising its whole corporate structure – from the employer to the Health and Safety Officer, through to supervisors, safety managers, employees, interim workers – in such a way that everyone can get involved to achieve the assigned safety goals in keeping with their own responsibilities and skills.
Portabagagli del Porto di Venezia Soc. Coop. strives to ensure that:
-compliance with current occupational health and safety regulations is considered a priority;
-information on corporate risks is disseminated to all workers, providing them with updated, job-specific training;
-employee involvement is ensured in workplace safety and health issues, also through the representative for workers’ safety;
-all workers are trained, informed and sensitised to properly perform the safety tasks assigned to them;
-the corporate structure takes an active part in achieving the assigned safety objectives according to its own attributes and skills;
– the equipment used, the workplaces, the operating methods and organisational issues are such as to safeguard the health of workers, third parties and the community in which the cooperative is active;
-the needs arising during work are addressed quickly and effectively;
-cooperation between the various company resources, as well as with external business organisations and Bodies, is promoted;
-priority is given to preventive actions and in-house investigations to protect workers’ health and safety, so as to significantly reduce the likelihood of accidents, injuries or other non-conformities occurring;
-the Workplace Safety and Health Management System policy, goals and implementation are periodically reviewed in order to continuously improve the level of safety and health at work within the company.
